New L2 Coaching Opportunity

Beezee Bodies Family Programme are looking for a level 2 badminton coach to deliver sessions at Oaklands College, St. Albans ( AL4 0JA) on Tuesdays 17:30-18:30.

Volunteering to help
Volunteering to help with a club or just for a one-off event can be very satisfying and may open up opportunities to permanent roles or paid jobs - as well as broadening ones experience, maybe adding to your CV.
There are now 4 ways to volunteer:
  1 do it yourself - contact a local club or event organiser you know or even the Herts Badminton Association Development Co-ordinator Dave Bartlett
  2  BADMINTON England's Volunteering website:
  3 If you are a Herts Uni student:  contact your Higher Education Badminton Officer, Matthew Widdicombe
  4 Sign up with Sport England's biggest national source of sport, volunteering and culture in the UK Join in 

Herts Sports Partnership have recently partnered with Join In to provide Sports Clubs in Hertfordshire with a FREE service to find more helping hands for Sports Clubs.

If you need more support at your sports clubs, events or competitions please add any opportunities by clicking here.  It’s really easy to add volunteer positions on the Join In website, simply;

1.      Go

2.      Click ‘we need volunteers’

3.      Click on ‘create a club’ page and then add your details

4.      Volunteers will be able to see these details and can apply for your positions.

General Data Protection Regulations Come into Force 25th May
This impacts all clubs and organisations that hold personal data. 
While Badminton England Head office will be preparing draft template policies and procedures and templates for clubs and organisations to use to comply with the new regulations you can read/download now the authoratative Information Commissioner's Office document on the background and the steps need to comply here.  
Update your Email Preferences or miss important information
Please can you remind all your members that they need to update their email preferences on the new Badminton England Go Membership system,  otherwise they will not receive any communication from them.

They should have received a generic message directly from Badminton England once you affiliated your club and all your members but Badminton England have advised that some members have not carried out this simple task.

It only takes a few minutes and  click here for a brief guide which shows members how to do this.

It is important to note that if members do not update this section they will default to “ Do Not Contact” and Badminton England will not send them any future communication.
