Over the weekend 4th/5th November 2023 the Champion of Champions Tournament was held at the National Badminton Centre in Milton Keynes.
This unique event brings together all the County Champions from the all-county restricted tournaments held throughout the country at the start of the season.
Hertfordshire provided the winners in the men’s open doubles event with the pairing of Harry Goode and Matthew Widdicombe going through the whole event with out dropping a game. In the final they beat Yorkshire champions Nathan Rossiter & Steven Strickland having previous got the better of pairs from Warwickshire, Suffolk, Gloucestershire & Somerset.
Zack Bobrowski made the men’s singles final losing out to Gloucestershire’s Jamie Pearcy.
Hertfordshire also had competitors in the other events, Aahan Bhatia in the women’s singles, Natalie Barton & Kelly Risley in the women’s doubles and Harry Goode & Jo Goode in the mixed.
